Natural knots, cracks and color variations of wood products make each piece unique. The trees we use in our furniture are dead-standing, with virtually little moisture left in the wood. They have already dried out in the forest and if they are going to check or crack, it would have before we start building. Checking does not affect the structural integrity. Think of checking as a natural, character building process for the wood. However, if a natural crack or check should compromise the framework of our furniture, causing the piece to be unsafe, all our log furniture is warranted by the manufacturer. |
